D-Street Buzz: Nifty Realty plunges with DLF down 5%; Maruti falls, Kellton Tech zooms 20%



The Indian benchmark indices have extended the morning loses with the Nifty50 is down 130 points, trading at 10,653 while the Sensex dipped 383 points and is trading at 35,500.

Nifty Realty shed the most, down close to 3 percent dragged by DLF, Unitech, Indiabulls Real Estate, Godrej Properties, Oberoi Realty, Sobha, and Brigade Enterprises.

From the auto space, the top losers are Maruti Suzuki which dipped 4 percent followed by Tata Motors, Tata Motors DVR, TVS Motor, Eicher Motors, Bharat Forge, Mahindra & Mahindra,  and Ashok Leyland.

Nifty IT shed 1.5 percent with loses from Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Elxsi, Infibeam Avenues, Mindtree and KPIT Tech.

From the BSE midcap space, the top gainers are Sun TV Network, LIC Housing Finance and Max Financial Services while the top losers are Adani Power, Reliance infra, Reliance Power and Reliance Capital.

The top smallcap gainers are Kellton Tech which zoomed 20 percent followed by GTPL Hathway and JP Infratech while the top losers are NCC, Punj Lloyd and Capital Trust.

The top gainers from NSE include Sun Pharma, Power Grid and NTPC.

The top losers included Indiabulls Housing Finance, Maruti Suzuki, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and HCL Tech.

The most active stocks were Sun Pharma, Maruti, Tata Steel, YES Bank and HDFC.

127 stocks have hit new 52-week low including names like ABG Shipyard, Amara Raja Batteries, Ashok Leyland, Balkrishna Industries, Bharat Forge, Deepak Fertilizers, Dish TV, Gujarat Pipavav Port, HT Media, IL&FS Transportation Networks, JSPL, Mahindra Lifespace, Oil India, NMDC, Rain Industries, Reliance Capital, SAIL, Texmaco Rail and Transformers And Rectifiers among others.

The breadth of the market favoured the declines with 345 stocks advancing and 1317 declining while 398 remained unchanged. On the BSE, 543 stocks advanced, 1614 declined and 115 remained unchanged.
